Dannielle Vaclavik: Airbrush Artist & Painter

About

If you can dream it, we can create it!

About Dannielle Vaclavik:

My name is Dannielle, but most of my friends call me Danni and I have lived in Massachusetts my whole life. I have been airbrushing for about 12 years now and take on a wide variety of challenges and paint anything from t-shirts to motorcycles to automobiles.  Over the years I have accumulated several different skills needed to be able to create such detail-oriented works of art.  I am 100% detail oriented and am always trying to be a perfectionist when it comes to realism.  I specialize in animals, anything with scales, flames or just anything that needs eye popping realism.  My favorite art studies consist of big cats, dragons and any kind of flame you can imagine, whether it be ghost flames, blazing red or blue flames, hot rod flames or even inverted flames!  It does not matter the surface: motorcycles, t-shirts, helmets, mailboxes, doors, walls, skateboards and yes, even automobiles!  If you can dream it, we can create it!  Anything is possible with a little imagination and some artistic skills.

I have always loved art ever since I was little and picked up my first pencil. I would make my own books and had to illustrate every single page, while using every single color in the hundred pack of crayons. Throughout the years, I have been inspired by many artists along the way and everyone develops their own technique and style along the way. My style is very bold and expressive with no details left out and I have never found such a passion for anything else in my life. I wish airbrushing was my primary job, but sadly hand-painted artwork can be fairly expensive due to its extensive customization and not a lot of people want to make that commitment and it is also becoming outdated. Therefore, the next best thing to being an airbrush artist, in my opinion, is actually my full-time occupation, an automotive technician. I am an automotive technician and just like art, I love the hands-on aspect of being a grease monkey and being able to repair something. I love the machine and am fascinated with how it works and would not change a thing about who I am. I have been wrenching for a little over 9 years now and work full-time in an automotive repair shop. I complete any task from brakes, tune-ups and timing belts, all the way to replacing engines and transmissions.

Let’s face it, this is a male dominated industry and even though that is starting to change, the statistics still show that there are very few women in the automotive industry. Feeling like I fit in has always been a challenge wherever I go, and I really feel like I am finally meant to be where I am. I do not want other women to be afraid or intimidated to enter this industry because it is male dominated. Instead, I want to be able to help those women and teach them or maybe even just encourage them, whether it be for mechanics or artwork. Believe me, I have learned the true meaning to the saying, “there is a tool for every job!” Being a woman has always challenged me face first with strength, but surely, there is always a bigger hammer, a bigger pry bar and yes, even a bigger ratchet. I encourage everyone to be different, because a star only burns bright for so long and as long as you believe, you will succeed. I believe that maybe one day, I will successfully have a shop that is dedicated half to automotive repair and half to custom paint jobs, because I definitely cannot live my life without one or the other!

My love for cars and mechanics is actually what got me hooked on kustom airbrushing vehicles and motorcycles in the first place. However, long before I was an airbrush artist, I spent countless hours just drawing and hand-painting to work up my skills and muscle memory. Therefore, there are also several other medias I am capable of using such as: graphite, acrylic, oil, ink and mixed medias.  This website really serves as a portfolio of my artwork and is just another way to keep people posted on updates.  Feel free to contact me with any questions and let me know if you are interested in a kustom paint job that you can show off to all your friends or just want advice!  Thank you so much for your time and consideration!
